NOTE: While using a computer system with working audio is strongly recommended, HCA candidates will be permitted to proceed in taking the exam without working audio. In this case, the chat will be the only means of communication with the proctor.
The recommended browser for the assessment is Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer (11 or higher). We strongly recommend you have an internet speed of at least 5 Mbps. You may want to test your internet speed before the Practice/Predictor exam. You can use one of the following tests:
A speed lower than 5 Mbps will not ensure optimal performance during the assessment. You are recommended to find a better internet connection prior to beginning your assessment.
Using the ProctorU booking process, candidates are able to book their examinations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ProctorU Support is also available at this time, however, technical support for the examination platform hosted by Yardstick is only available Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm EDT excluding holidays. It is encouraged that candidates make reservations during this time frame to ensure maximum support is available.

Once logged into your account, you will see a platform tutorial examination. This assessment is to help candidates gain familiarity with the examination interface and its functions so you are more comfortable on examination day. This exam can be taken as many times as you wish and does not affect your assessment time.

Upon completion of your examinations, you will be sent an email with instructions to review your score. To view this, you will log back into your account, and on your "Exams" page, you will see the "History" link above your available exams. Click the "History" button to view the results of your previously written exams.
